Yes. Pets are great companions for our residents and they can have one pet 25 pounds or less.

Each facility is a little different; for example, the minimum age to reside at The Cottages is 55, other options are designed for those age 62 or older. There may be some exceptions, made on an individual basis.

Whether it’s dining together, a museum visit, or walking with a friend, Good Shepherd residents have many opportunities to socialize with one another in both organized and informal ways. Our activities department offers many organized social opportunities throughout the year that may include games, art and craft work, cultural outings, and holiday celebrations all in support of our residents’ emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health.

Good Shepherd is owned and operated by four business entities: Ecumenical Retirement Center Inc., a 501(c)3 Arkansas nonprofit corporation; ERC Foundation Inc., a 501(c)3 Arkansas nonprofit corporation; the Cottages of Good Shepherd Phase I, L.P. and Cottages of Good Shepherd Phase II, L.P., both of which are Arkansas for-profit limited partnerships. Good Shepherd operates with a “business mind” and a “mission heart” and is designed to invest all retained earnings into the Good Shepherd Community for the benefit of its residents, thereby assuring quality and affordable housing.

The Good Shepherd campus uses a keyless entry system and has cameras located at all our facilities, as well as on-site professional security service that is present after business hours. Little Rock police and fire stations are located nearby on Kanis Road.
