OUR MISSION

Good Shepherd exists to provide a quality, affordable living experience to independently living seniors in a faith-based community. We are committed to supporting the independence, well-being, and dignity of our residents.

Years of Experience and Expertise

We’ve grown from a single building with 200 apartments to a five-facility retirement community located on 140 acres in a park-like setting in west Little Rock.

Good Shepherd Community has provided professional, personal service and affordable, secure housing to its residents since 1979 based on the ministry and mission of its founders, the Bishops and General Presbyter of the Arkansas Catholic, Episcopal, United Methodists and Presbyterian Churches. Through the years Good Shepherd has grown from a single building with 200 apartments to a five-facility retirement community located on 140 acres in a park like setting in west Little Rock.

We offer a variety of apartment configurations – studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom apartments that are accessible for persons with disabilities.

Our Housing

From our cottage residences to traditional apartment living, Good Shepherd provides attractive, affordable and welcoming spaces in a variety of sizes and floor plans for independently living seniors.

Our campus location is also convenient to nearby shopping, restaurants, and healthcare providers, including numerous hospitals and clinics.

Moore Building

The Moore Building is home to 200 independent living HUD-subsidized apartments. There is convenient parking, a gym, beauty salon, library, and meeting areas to visit with friends.

Rhinehart Building

The Rhinehart Building was developed in 1983, and houses 55 apartments for independently living seniors, each with scenic balcony views of the surrounding picturesque landscape.

Shepherd's Cove Building

Developed in 1986, The Cove’s 81 apartments for independently living seniors include an increased level of service, including two meals per day as well as laundry and housekeeping service once each week.

The Cottages

The Cottages, built in 2012, has 104 Cottages for independently living seniors. With our beautiful surroundings, you’ll feel at home the moment you arrive.

The Roberts

The Roberts offers comfortable studio units and two meals per day for independently living residents. The Roberts has a dining room, gym, computer lab, beauty salon, and more.

This is my 6th Christmas at Good Shepherd and each year the staff tries to improve the activities for the residents. The programs held in December were superb and the social hour on New Year’s Eve was lovely.
