In keeping with our Mission, the health and safety of Good Shepherd’s staff and residents has been our priority for over forty years. As we find ourselves in the middle of a pandemic and dealing with new challenges within our community, we wanted to keep you informed of how we are meeting those challenges.
We are dedicated to following state and federal guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Residents and employees are expected to continue a personal regimen related to reducing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
In addition to our usual cleaning, we have added a heightened environmental cleaning and disinfecting regimen in accordance with the CDC recommendations including daily cleaning of frequently touched surfaces within all buildings.
We encourage all employees, residents, and visitors at Good Shepherd to actively self-monitor for the development of COVID-19 symptoms and, if necessary, self-isolate, quarantine, and/or seek medical attention. Residents who test positive are required to isolate in their apartment until they recover. Employees and others who test positive are not permitted in the Community until they have recovered.
As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our residents, employees, visitors, we will continue to assess the need for additional restrictions to ensure the continued safety of our community.
